Jeff has enjoyed a diverse range of roles in his career, starting in law, politics, and policy, before moving into operational roles at the intersection of media and technology. During his tenure at MySpace, Jeff was promoted three times in three years, ultimately assuming responsibility for a several-hundred person team spread across eight offices and generating nine-figures in revenue.

Jeff was promoted in April 2008 to lead the Sales, Marketing, and Content groups spread across eight offices generating nine-figures in revenue.
During his tenure, Jeff overhauled the management team, bringing in outside talent to improve operational efficiency and focus strategy. Under his leadership and in the face of a global economic collapse, the team grew revenue while cutting expenses in FY'09 (July-June).

Jeff was promoted in January 2008 to lead the Marketing, Entertainment, and Content groups.
He built MySpace's Online Marketing team, hiring a group lead from eBay. Jeff also overhauled the Entertainment & Content group, hiring a team lead from MTV to refocus on Integrated Marketing efforts in line with defined corporate priorities.
In concert with MySpace head of Product Management, Jeff initiated and oversaw MySpace's first Product Marketing Council, a cross-functional team from Marketing, Product, and PR to better promote MySpace's offerings.

Jeff was promoted in 2007 to develop MySpace's first video strategy and oversee the launch of the company's video property, managing a cross-functional team from Product, Engineering, Marketing & Content, and Sales.
The team achieved full-year goals in three months, far outpacing MySpace's growth in same period. Jeff and his group built a business model around original content that guaranteed profitability and generated a multi-million dollar earned media stream. Jeff also negotiated and/or oversaw dozens of deals for licensed professional video content.

Jeff was hired in 2006 to help build MySpace's political and communications strategy around safety and security on the site, working with News Corporation leadership on policies, politics, partnerships, and messaging both to make MySpace safer and improve public image.
While in the role, he:
Oversaw the launch of MySpace's pro-social hub, bringing influential politicians and NGOs to MySpace;
Developed and executive produced Presidential Dialogue series with MTV; and,
Built MySpace's first in-house corporate communications team.

Jeff served as Chief Counsel to Senator Charles E. Schumer (D-NY) and Subcommittee staff director. He advised the Senator, developed positions and strategy, wrote speeches, devised events, reports, and op-eds on a broad range of legal, policy, media, and political matters.
Significant projects included: post-9/11 legislation such as USA-PATRIOT Act, airline bailout, and victim’s compensation fund; class action reform; CIA leak investigation; Iraq prison abuse scandal; election reform; and judicial confirmation battles.
While on leave from Senate, he developed, implemented, and led voter protection efforts for 2002 and 2004 South Dakota Senate races.
