Before joining JCCI in 1998, Ben worked in the mental health field and with homelessness issues, for which he was awarded the Michael R. Wilson Social Justice Award in 1997.
At JCCI, Ben has staffed community-based public policy studies and advocacy efforts. In addition, he is responsible for JCCI’s annual Quality of Life Progress Report and Race Relations Progress Report.
He is past president of the National Association of Planning Councils, and was the inaugural president of the international Community Indicators Consortium.
He is an accomplished consultant and conference presenter.
