Ben currently works at 33 Digital, an international digital PR and marketing agency. Ben’s expertise lies in using web 2.0 and social media tools to provide visible and measurable value to clients. With one eye on his current work and one eye on the future of digital media, he has a hunger for learning, sharing and connecting online.
Ben is the founder of Bright One, a volunteer-run communications agency for the Third Sector. Bright One aims to deliver high quality communications for charities, social enterprises and not-for-profit organisations. They do this by developing the communications experience and expertise of volunteers who are driven by the social potential of their work, by providing training and support from industry professionals, and by providing access to a valuable network of communications professionals.
Ben was also part of the team that organised Twestival, a ‘tweetup’ (a meeting of people who know each other via Twitter) that took place in over 200 cities worldwide and raised funds for charity:water, a charity that provides clean drinking water to developing nations.
Ben also sits on the board of trustees of the children’s cancer charity, Camp Quality UK, where he looks after the communications aspects of the charity.
He is an ex-Editor of the award winning student newspaper, York Vision, and retains an interest in all things journalism and the media.
