Ben Ray’s Summary

I’m responsible for selling TABB Group’s capital markets research and advisory services in Europe.

Before TABB, I took a year's sabbatical traveling across Asia with my wife.

Previously, in New York from 2000-07, I published magazines, newsletters and hosted events on front, middle and back office securities industry technologies across the States and Europe.

I have a track record in developing, articulating and executing new ideas. I developed traditional print brands in to successful multi-platform ones, connecting buyers and sellers in credible environments. Whilst in New York I successfully built and managed a Trans-Atlantic editorial, sales, marketing and production team that delivered double digit year on year profits for both the listed parent and later the PE owned parent, APAX. I also created and sold the American Financial Technology Awards.

Before New York I lived in Hong Kong for about 18 months working at Asiamoney. I covered the Hong Kong, South Korea and Philippine capital markets, selling ad-space to corporate CFOs, Heads of ECM & DCM at the international i-banks and Asia’s regional and central bankers.

I was in England before that, as an independant broking agent, dealing space between buyers in the UK and publishers on the continent.
