Ben is the Vice President, Licensing of FremantleMedia, one of the world's largest international creators and producers of entertainment brands.
Within this position, Ben is responsible for exploiting and developing FremantleMedia properties off-screen in areas such as online, interactive television and wireless. In addition to digital/new media, the position also focuses on more traditional ancillary rights businesses including brand licensing, sponsorship, live events, gaming, consumer products and merchandise.
Prior to joining FremantleMedia, Ben established himself as a leading digital media and content specialist, holding a variety of digital/interactive media roles with companies including Warner Music Group and Vodafone. Ben has been responsible for the development of new business opportunities across interactive media and marketing; wireless entertainment and content in markets including Australia; India; Singapore; New Zealand; Hong Kong; Indonesia; Philippines and the United States.
During Ben’s career, he has worked directly with partners including Universal Music, Sky News, MySpace, Seven Network, Fairfax, Fox Sports, Yahoo, Electronic Arts, PBL Media, ABC Australia, Billabong, CBS Corporation, MSN, 19 Entertainment, Telstra, News Corporation, Network Ten, Granada Media, Google, YouTube, Foxtel, Nine Network and Walt Disney Group.
Ben has been a speaker and panel member at industry events including the Australasian Media and Broadcasting Congress (2007), Australian Music Business Conference (2007/08), Mobile Content World Asia Pacific (2008), ad:tech (2008) and AIMIA: The Business Of Digital Content (2008), and has been quoted in leading media publications including BRW, The Sydney Morning Herald, B&T, The Bulletin, The Australian and AdNews.
