This Position was taken by internal promotion from manufacturing to engineering services.
Reporting to the head of engineering services, I'm now responsible for technically supporting all VectaStar products and software.
I am challenged daily by issues concerning embedded software, RF and everything in between.
I am additionally charged with giving 3rd line support to our manufacturing facilities worldwide.
In the past 6 years, I have developed a broad knowledge of VectaStar and am now building on that knowledge by working closely with the R&D team on various projects, including Cost Reduction and optimisation, as well as the introduction of our new 26&28GHz Ranges.

June 2006 — February 2007 (9 months)
I was Promoted into this position as a result of the company needing to start independent hardware manufacture.
Responsibilities were based around the day to day running of 2 production lines (manufacturing and testing digital microwave radio equipment). Tasked with providing training to all line staff, as well as debugging embedded systems to component level and carrying out surface mount soldering as required. liaising with the GM and logistics team to ensure deadlines were met in a timely manner. More recently responsible for the documentation detailing assembly instructions for our product range, leading on to test and debug guides for both colleagues and third party CEMs alike. All work is now procedure controlled to maintain ISO9001 certification. This role was challenging, but with 5+ years experience of this system, I often found myself taking on more external tasks.
Reason for leaving this position: Promoted to engineering services.
