    As a consultant with Brightpoint, I worked with the Business Intelligence team developing an operational data store to support a Webfocus front-end to provide operational reporting to support their ERP system. The Pentaho Data Integration (Kettle) tool was used for all ETL routines which integrated with the Sterling Gentran Information Suite middleware platform. The operational data store was sourced from a variety of systems including JD Edwards, Provia Viaware, Evavi and others. My involvement was on the architectural oversight, data modeling and ETL design & development.

    On this project, I was the technical and architect lead overseeing the gathering of requirements and overall system design. The project involved designing a complex 3NF data warehouse model for optimal storage of live phase assay results. The architecture for data movement was based on an XML EAI exchange leveraging MQ series and proprietary Java and PL/SQL.

    On this project, I was the project manager overseeing the deployment of a lead optimization data mart for the substance research group at Eli Lilly. The project involved finalizing the data requirements, overall solution architecture, designing a star schema data model, design and development of the 3NF warehouse and data mart ETL routines. The mart was designed to meet the specific requirements of a data visualization tool.

    On this project, I was the lead technical architect for designing and deploying a data warehouse and two data marts. The state of Vermont’s fourteen counties of data were used as sources for the data warehouse. An ETL process comprised of ODBC, PL/SQL and Unify were implemented to build a 3NF warehouse structure. A statistical data mart was designed and deployed as well as a Juvenile data mart. The juvenile data mart allowed for specific analysis of juvenile dockets to better serve these cases.

    On this project, I was the lead technical architect for revamping a data warehouse that was already in production. As part of the project, a new warehouse was structured. Part of this structure included the development of standards and process meant to aide as a blue-print for future modifications to the warehouse to support growth and flexibility. Several data marts were also built once the warehouse redesign was completed. These marts used BusinessObjects as a front-end reporting tool. The mart structure supported query analysis across several distinct subject areas and was presented transparently to the user through advanced BusinessObjects universe design. The backend DB was Oracle.

    On this project, I designed and developed a data warehouse and data mart of Human Resources information to accommodate analytical analysis. A warehouse was designed pulling information from several different legacy systems and homogenizing the data into a standard structure. A mart was then designed to accommodate query analysis and aid in cross dimensional analysis of the data. The system also offered additional capabilities such as historical tracking and front-end manipulation of the data outside of the source systems and warehouse. All ETL was completed within Informix DataStage against Oracle.

    Was the lead technical architect for the development of a CRM solution for several divisions within Cintas. The primary goal of the system was to deliver cross-sell capabilities and to better analyze customers across several criteria. This solution was achieved by customizing a Data Mart from nine different legacy systems and homogenizing these sources into a single Mart. The three main functional pieces of the system included standard OLAP reporting, Campaign Management and data mining.

This project allowed the Clinical Trials team to discontinue the use of several miscellaneous tools used to track Clinical Trials enrollment and milestone information. The Data Mart also allowed a standardized way of reporting information. BusinessObjects was used as the front-end to report against the Data Mart, which is stored in an Oracle database. The reports tracked Clinical Trial enrollment, milestones, and key metrics. The reports are used by approximately one thousand users in over forty Lilly affiliates worldwide. Was responsible for the data movement aspect of the Data Mart using PL/SQL. Skills relevant to this experience included problem resolution, data movement concepts, PL/SQL and training of end-users.
