- The work resulted in the management of SG retail subsidiaries being more sensitive to the needs and commercial potential of micro-finance.

CAPAF's ambition is to improve the supply of sustainable private-sector capacity building services including training and technical assistance to Microfinance institutions in 12 countries in Francophone Africa.
- Independently determined how well CAPAF had achieved its mission and objectives.
- Provided guidance to CAPAF and its donors about any changes in strategic direction and operations to meet the existing expectations and previously unforeseen challenges and opportunities.
This included fieldwork in Senegal, Cameroon, Guinea and Madagascar.
