I have a PhD in Computer Engineering with emphasis on wireless ad hoc and sensors networks from Northeastern University (Boston, MA). Previously I received my Laurea Degree in Electronic Engineering with emphasis on wireless communcations (802.11/HyperLAN2, PHY Layer) from the University of Ferrara (Italy).
I have been at Alcatel R&I Laboratories in Marcoussis (Paris, France) as Radio Engineer Intern and at the CNIT (National Consortium for Telecommunications) as Researcher at the Univeristy "La Sapienza" of Rome (Italy). In 2006 I have been Wireless Engineer Intern at Google (Mountain View, California).
Since 2007 I am a full time software engineer at Google were I develop MAC protocols and I am involved in kernel and drivers programming for wireless systems.
I have a broad understading of wireless communications from the physical layer to MAC and routing. My PhD thesis focused on Wireless Sensor Networks and in particular on the design and performance evaluation of localization protocols and efficient techniques for location management. I have experience in drivers design and kernel programming.
