    (Public Company; Computer Software industry)

    November 2008Present (1 year 1 month)

Designed and implemented a business rules engine that could be maintained by end users in real time trough a web interface. The project was managed using Scrum and the technology was implemented in C# 3.5 (WCF, WPF, LINQ), ASP.net (Telerik) & SQL server 2005. Components I worked on include the security and logistics related to updating assemblies progmatically in real time, user work flow and rule language definition.

  • Founder

    Possum Labs

(Privately Held; Myself Only; Consumer Services industry)

(Public Company; NCMI; Marketing and Advertising industry)

    June 2008November 2008 (6 months)

Designed and implemented back end systems for a rich UI website written in flex. The back end was written in C# with SQL server 2005. Components I worked on revolved around searching, API integration (OpenID & Amazon), the notification subsystem and cross data source aggregation and normalization.
Facilitated the communication and selection for a 3rd party development company to assist the existing development team. Selection was based upon the results of code & design review as well as estimates of the quantity of work delivered.

  • Lead Developer

    Fetter Logic, Inc.

(Privately Held; 51-200 employees; Financial Services industry)

    June 2007April 2008 (11 months)

Led a project to release and maintained a proprietary reporting web based application for the financial services industry. The website was built using ASP.Net and SQL server 2005. During the time I was leading the project, the first version of the product was released, and the first service releases were deployed. Concurrent with the maintenance, there was an effort to refactor the application for both the database and application layer to improve maintainability and allow for improved security and extensibility. This project involved 10 developers.
Other accomplishments at this position were architecting and implementing a distributed processing system, on top of WCF and WF using C# and SQL query performance optimization for user generated reports.

  • Sr. Software Engineer

    ManiaTV!

(Privately Held; 51-200 employees; Entertainment industry)

    August 2006June 2007 (11 months)

Collaborated in the design and implementation of a live internet television website. The website was implemented in C# and ASP, utilizing Ajax for ASP. The backend was an n-tier architecture written in C# utilizing Entlib remoting. The database was SQL Server 2005.
Over time, my focus changed to internal tools and algorithms; during this time I led a team of three developers. Algorithms developed were used for a tag relations and image quality computation. Internal tools developed were for managing internal and external content, as well as C-level reporting needs.

  • Software Engineer

    Gambro BCT

(Privately Held; 1001-5000 employees; Medical Devices industry)

    May 2004August 2006 (2 years 4 months)

Participated in design & implementation of software to work for and with medical devices. I was tasked with improving performance of an existing internal search tool. This was accomplished by redesigning the application to be multi treaded, and optimizing the algorithms. After that I worked on design and implementation of a device communication module utilizing TCP/IP. Both projects were implemented in C#.

  • Intern

    bConnected Software

(Privately Held; 11-50 employees; Computer Software industry)

    August 2000February 2001 (7 months)

Responsibilities included server maintenance and software QA. Created and executed a test plan for a win forms software application, including performance and scalability testing and a security audit.
