Fortune 500 marketer Paul Barsch is interested in advanced and intelligent technologies applied to the marketing discipline. Through writing and speaking, Paul evangelizes a “boundaryless” role for the marketing profession; connecting with customers, speaking finance and operations, understanding technology, and helping companies adapt to rapid and systemic change in markets.
Paul directs professional services marketing for Teradata, a $1.8B company and the world’s leader in enterprise data warehousing and analytics. At Teradata, Paul is responsible for driving marketing support and deployment of specific data warehousing service offers as well as differentiating Teradata’s global professional services from low cost consultancies and platform vendors.
Prior to Teradata, Paul was marketing director for EDS' $1.3B healthcare industry which includes payer, provider, and life sciences segments. In this role, Paul administered all aspects of EDS' healthcare marketing including press and analyst relations, sales support, creating awareness, and revenue generation programs.
His consulting career started at BearingPoint. As a senior manager, Paul directed marketing programs for the wireless, CRM and supply chain management practices--with global revenues totaling over $700m.
Speaking and writing are two of Paul's passions. He has over 15 articles published in Health Leaders, The Ladders, 1:1 Think Customers, Teradata Magazine, and MarketingProfs in addition to over 70 columns on MarketingProfs' DailyFix. Paul is a member of Toastmasters International and has received the Advanced Communicator Gold (ACG) award, Toastmaster's highest speaking distinction.
Paul earned his Bachelors of Science in Business Administration degree from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, with a concentration in marketing management.
