Jeanne Barker-Nunn is a nationally recognized writing consultant who has worked with scholarly writers for nearly three decades.
Dr. Barker-Nunn understands well the demands and pressures of academic life, having served in the faculties of three universities. She is also very famiiar with the expectations and practices of academic publishing, having served as managing editor of the interdisciplinary journal Signs: Journal of Women in Culture and Society and and as a consulting editor for several scholarly presses. She is also widely read in the available research on academic life and writing.
Since founding J. B. Barker-Nunn & Associates in 1996, she has helped more than a hundred clients from a wide range of fields plan, complete, and publish their scholarly work and advance their careers. Her clients have come from universities and colleges in every region of the country, at every stage in their careers, and from a wide range of scholarly fields.
She also offers faculty development workshops on scholarly writing for publication, integrating scholarship into the teaching life, and mentoring graduate student writing, and is available as a consultant and trainer-coach for faculty development initiatives aimed at improving scholarly production and the advising of graduate theses and dissertations.
