Patent # 6,721,761 A System for Assigning Digital Identifiers to Telephone Numbers and IP Numbers. This patent solves multiple telco challenges with one algorithm: local (geographical) usage rating, local number portability, and QoS rating. Another advantage is that it allows both NPA-NXX and IP based telephony rating. It is available as a plugin module that can enable any mainstream billing system to solve these problems. It has been tested for KENAN's Arbor/BP. The patent can be viewed by going to the following U.S. Patent and Trademark Office web site "http://patft.uspto.gov/netahtml/srchnum.htm" and entering the patent number.
