Steve Breakstone and Michael Dreiblatt, co-founders of Balance Educational Services, specialize in bullying and violence prevention, behavior management and effective communication styles. Michael, a former teacher in New York City and Vermont, won the Bovenaan Award in 1985 and Teacher of the Year in 1999 in Arlington, Vermont. Steve, an expert in violence prevention and behavior management, is the author of Washington WALKABOUT, which chronicles his 1,300 mile walk around Washington state with a man with developmental disabilities, demonstrating the capabilities of people with disabilities. The authors have been featured in Suffolk County News, Berkshire Eagle, Brattleboro Reformer, and the Bennington Banner, and have been regular contributors on WBTN radio in Bennington, VT.
