I have worked as a sole proprietor for the past two years, designing for both web and print mediums. Prior to this I'd relocated to Illinois from North Carolina and quickly secured a long-term temporary position as a graphics assistant. Upon completion of my temporary assignment, I was offered and accepted a position as the company's R & D Coordinator.

In North Carolina, I was fortunate to have worked for a wholesale distributing company for more than eight years. While there I wore many hats; I began as its Administrative Assistant and was responsible for answering a multi-line switchboard, faxing, copying, entering data and greeting visitors. I quickly demonstrated an ability to learn new tasks, as well as software and computer systems with ease. This ability was evident when I was promoted to Marketing Assistant, during which, I implemented a new and cleaner design of the company's wholesale catalog. This new design saved the company approximately $10,000 a year in printing costs. I also researched and implemented a new e-mail marketing solution, which saved the company about $2500 a year.

I was responsible for designing, producing and maintaining all marketing materials from conception to production, including their three web sites, a 200+ page wholesale catalog, sell sheets, trade show signs and banners. In addition I managed all electronic broadcasting, direct mailing and marketing pieces.

I have above average knowledge of Microsoft Office, Quark Xpress, Adobe InDesign and Adobe Photoshop. I also have strong written and verbal skills.
