I graduated from Fort Lewis College in August 2008 with B.A. degrees in Economics and International Business. I also minored in Political Science and Spanish. During my time at Fort Lewis I enjoyed several study-abroad opportunities, going to Cuba (twice), Mexico and Argentina. Studying abroad during college was very important to me since I'd gone abroad in high school. The experiences of learning another language, Spanish, and absorbing other cultures will undoubtedly serve me well, as well as the company I work for. In so far as a career, I'm looking for a company which will allow me to forge my analytic and creative skills, background in business, economics, and technology, and broad knowledge of Latin America to add value and make a difference.

At the Connecting Point, an Apple Reseller, I had the opportunity to work hands-on with both businesses and consumers in designing Apple computer systems to meet their needs. This sales relationship included working on-site and taking support phone calls. In addition to troubleshooting myriad software issues, I completed several hardware repairs as well.
Working for a small business gave me a profound insight as to the inner-workings of a business: sales, purchasing, inventory, payroll, etc. More profound than a job to just pay the bills, the experience working there both full-time and part-time during college was more valuable, closer to that of an internship.
