Ashley Bright’s Summary

I’m a passionate, strategic minded Creative Director with over 10 years experience delivering compelling results-driven conceptual and visual solutions while holding key positions with Landor Associates, Microsoft, Razorfish, Ascentium and in my current position with Blast Radius.

My understanding of user centered design, sensitivity for the user experience and thorough knowledge of strategic business and marketing principles relative to interactive brand experiences, online advertising and marketing campaigns inform all aspects of my creative solutions. Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills ensure creative solutions shine and establish strong, trusted client relationships.

I’ve generated client solutions that span a broad range of user experiences such as the site wide redesign of AT&T’s {Cingular} consumer and business web sites, interactive point-roll advertising for Apple, a flash based kiosk demo for use in Best Buy retail stores, a global community web site for the Nintendo DS portable gaming device, an online demo for TiVo and leading edge experiences for Windows Mobile.

Clients: Apple, Best Buy, AT&T {Cingular}, Nintendo, Expedia, TiVo, Washington Mutual, Adobe, T-Mobile, Microsoft, The Seattle Times, Verizon, RealNetworks, Windows Mobile.

Blast Radius is a strategic interactive agency focused on a new approach to marketing that advocates moving away from interruptive traditional marketing and toward strategies that engage and create open brands.

As Creative Director for the new Seattle office I am responsible for the continued satisfaction and growth of our client accounts for Microsoft, Pemco Insurance and Starbucks, as well as establishing relationships with new clients.

In addition, I'll be ensuring that Blast becomes a recognized and valuable addition to the northwest creative community.

  • Creative Director

    Ascentium

(Privately Held; Marketing and Advertising industry)

    March 2008June 2009 (1 year 4 months)

As Creative Director I establish and maintain strategic vision on e-commerce, marketing and brand experience projects for clients such as Windows Mobile, Expedia, People to People, T-Mobile, Verizon and a wide variety of groups within Microsoft. In addition, I manage client expectations, deepen our existing relationships and seek opportunities to grow our accounts.

Internally I oversee a talented and growing team of creatives, that include Art Directors, Designers, Motion, Flash and Silverlight designers as well as writers, devs and a full production team. This allows me to provide career development for direct reports and foster a culture of design and creative excellence for the organization by hosting group discussions about best practices, encouraging collaboration across disciplines and to share innovative, award-winning industry work samples.

In addition I work closely with business development to validate new client opportunities to determine if they meet our growth goals, leverage our strengths and can be adequately staffed given available resources.

  • Associate Creative Director

    Avenue A | Razorfish

(Public Company; 10,001 or more employees; MSFT; Marketing and Advertising industry)

    May 2005February 2008 (2 years 10 months)

I provide leadership, career coaching and year-end reviews for the Creative and User Experience teams. I lead monthly training sessions intended to provide an overview of the creative discipline and our process to those outside the department.

I establish and maintain strategic vision on e-commerce, marketing and brand experience projects, while managing client expectations. Working closely with business development I validate new client opportunities to determine if they meet our growth goals, leverage our strengths and can be adequately staffed given available resources.

My participation in new business pitches has resulted in new client engagements with Cingular, Microsoft, Disney, Magnolia/Best Buy and TiVo. My role as a stabilizing force was critical as the group weathered personnel and process integration challenges following the aQuantive merger in 2004, changes to key leadership positions, and the most recent acquisition by Microsoft.
