I am currently working at TNT ICS Express. The application that we are developing is based on the Spring framework. My aims are to strengthen my knowledge on Spring framework and adopt the quality standards that TNT has established.
I graduated first class at the University of Greenwich undertaking a degree course in BSc Software Engineering. My working experience as a trainee and application tester allows me to work collaboratively with other members in the organization to achieve the organization's goals.
I demonstrated excellent teamwork while leading a group of 3 people for group assignments at the university. I was responsible to prioritise the tasks and organise regular meeting to discuss the progress achieved and ensure that deadlines are met. I provided support to each member when necessary. My approach to discuss any problem together with the group and not to impose my decision established a winning team and together we achieved over 70% for most group assignments.
At the end of my first year at University, I completed my placement at Air Mauritius Ltd. My primary task involved maintaining the AFRAA web page and designing flash animation. Though I had no previous experience and knowledge on HTML and flash animation, I demonstrated my self-motivation of learning web and animation technology and apply them.
I did my second placement at Posterita Ltd and I was involved in the testing stage of Posterita Web Based Point of Sale. I was responsible to test the system and document them. At the end, the whole team worked collaboratively to solve the bugs that I was reporting.
My passion and commitment for software development will prove invaluable and I will thrive towards developing quality software using the right methodology
