I am a research network engineer specialised in Network behavioural analysis applied to Network Security, Network Management, Network operations and Network optimisation. My professional experience is in the areas of Network Design, Management and Operation; Security, Telecommunications, Programming and Artificial Intelligence. I have 12 years experience working in challenging networking environments and with complex telecommunications projects. I have several years of experience as network manager, designer and engineer working with diverse technologies such as VoIP, Routing, LAN Switching, Wireless, Data Centres and Security. I am finishing my PhD in the Artificial Intelligence group in the University of York in the UK. My research is on Machine Learning and Autonomous Agents. Specifically I am researching the use of AI in computer networks to provide intelligent network management capabilities to network devices. Besides AI and security, I have some projects using Machine Learning in web technologies, data mining and search.
