Arthur Bobany’s Summary

Highly self-motivated graphic designer making a shift towards the Video Game industry. Capable of creating fine art pieces and with the skills to develop and work with a creative team on designing and creating game concepts and design documents. Author of the book "Video game Arte", published in 2007, offering an in-depth look at videogames from an artistic standpoint.

My book "Videogame Arte" debates about the topic of videogames as art, game development and the characteristics that constitute them as an art form. It touches on subjects such as the future of games and their relations to culture and society and ultimately objectives to institutionalize the game development as an art form. It was published by "Novas Idéias" and sponsored by the technology company AMD in 2007. Besides being the author, the entire graphical and production project where under my care as a Designer for "Novas Idéias."

Arthur Bobany’s Specialties:

Level design experience with the Source engine map editor. Deep knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Vector Graphics to create 2d images and concepts. Good understanding of 3D and a growing expertise of 3Dmax and other 3D tools. Also expertise with web interfaces, Flash and HTML. Experience on printed media and editorial work.
