I was very interested in architecture and interior furnishing design, especially new technologies. Geodesic domes, autonomous buildings, green building, solar and wind power and self-sustaining environments were all fresh ideas in college. I was not a college bound high schooler, I won a scholarship because I could draw houses in a work-study program to introduce the architecture field to inner-city kids, put on by Case Western Reserve Univ architecture faculty.
