Armando is a Public Accountant graduated summa cum laude from the National Autonomous University of Mexico. He is certified before the Mexican Institute of Public Accountants (IMCP) and the American Institute of Public Accountants (AICPA). He attended post-graduate management courses at the University of Texas, the University of Calgary, and San Diego State University.
His professional career started as external auditor with PriceWaterhouseCoopers in Mexico City, where he gained significant experience in audit standards and methodology. Afterwards, he worked in the internal audit departments of Young and Rubicam and Interpublic -two global advertising agencies based in New York City- where he gained valuable exposure to international operations.
In 2002 he founded RNA Consulting, a boutique advisory firm specialized in audit, finance, tax and risk management. Since then he has participated in more than one hundred projects around the world, tackling a broad range of issues from tax and revenue recognition to contract compliance and fraud. He also specializes in providing support to SAP implementations, financial and operational audits, mergers and acquisitions, and special investigations, as well as advising foreign companies wishing to establish operations in Mexico.
Some of his recent clients include McCann-Erickson and Zimat Consultores -two leading marketing companies in Mexico- and Bombardier Transportation -the world’s largest rail manufacturer.
He serves as President of the International Affairs Commission of the Mexican Institute of Public Accountants and he is a founding member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners in Mexico. He is member of several trade and cultural organizations and publishes research articles regularly.
