Returned to Australia after completing my contract for Ericsson Ireland. Once again took up a contract with Ericsson Australia as a support engineer for MN-OSS. Major projects I worked on included the Network Management System for the Ericsson Network Operations Centre (NOC) in Sydney.
This entailed pre-sales work, including client consultation and requirements analysis, through to integration of crucial Ericsson network backbone equipment to the Network Management Systems (NMS). The NOC NMS system managed equipment from multiple vendors including Hutchison Telecom, and Unwired Australia.

After Ericsson AsiaPacific Labs in Australia closed down, I took up a position with Ericsson Ireland. My role was to provide installation and product support on Ericsson's Network Management Systems (NMS), Operation Support Systems (OSS) and Connection Manager (CMG) products.
Our major client was British Telecom, and the role involved installation, integration and testing with British Telecoms network management systems which included a complex hetrogeneous network of Ericsson ATM Switches, Cisco and Juniper routers and switches.

I joined Ericsson Australia as part of their graduate program and worked in the Regional Solutions Center (RSC) for Ericsson AsiaPacific Labs.
My role involved Design, Implementation and Maintenance of Ericsson Network Management Solutions including Network Surveillance (HP OpenView, Evidian OpenMaster), Configuration Management (AXD, ATM, Cisco, Juniper), Asset Management (Remedy ARS, Oracle), Performance Management and Security Management.
This entailed pre-sales work, including client consultation and requirements analysis, through to integration of crucial Ericsson network backbone equipment to the Network Management Systems.
Successful projects include Network Management systems for StarHUB Singapore, Digi Telecom Malaysia (resulting in a 30% reduction in trouble tickets), Indosat Indonesia, and Hutchison Telecommunications Australia.
