Patrick T. Hoffman is a designer, philosopher, and entrepreneur. He is currently attending Drexel University, where his academics focus on Architecture and the Social Study of Science and Technology. In addition to his academic studies, Patrick also currently serves as a member of the Executive Board of the Drexel Smart House, with a general focus on Organizational Management and a specific focus on Management of the organization's Lab and House. Additionally, he also serves as Co-Chair of the Community Committee for Drexel Green, the University's sustainable initiative.
Much of Patrick's initial knowledge of Organizational Management can be traced back to his first affiliations. He was a founding member and organizer of Unionville High School's Chess Team; during his senior year at Unionville, he served as the Captain of the Debate half of Unionville's Speech and Debate Team; and, for three years during high school he played for the Delaware State, 1986 Boys, Olympic Development Program soccer team.
In his first two years as a student at Drexel, Patrick helped to organize two Intramural Soccer Teams, while also playing for the university's Club Soccer team. He even refereed the first ever match held at Drexel between the Drexel Club Soccer Team and the University of Pennsylvania Club Soccer Team.
As an active member of the Greater Philadelphia community, Patrick volunteers his time to the efforts of both the Delaware Valley Green Building Council (DVGBC) and to the Community Design Collaborative (CDC).
A person of passion and energy, Patrick is now applying his knowledge and passions to promoting open innovation within the community that creates, maintains, and uses humanity's buildings and infrastructure.
