I blog , I’ve spoken on best practices and I’m an author . I’ve co-authored The Art & Science of JavaScript (SitePoint) and am currently working on Pro JavaScript Frameworks for Wrox.
I believe strongly that a site should be fully functional prior to the addition of CSS and JavaScript. I believe that JavaScript should be added unobtrusively and written in a way that doesn’t break accessibility. I believe in using JavaScript libraries to normalize cross-browser issues rather than reinventing the wheel. I use the YUI Library exclusively, except for when I write my own code from scratch. I believe in cross-pollination, that individuals from different teams can benefit from sharing information about their respective disciplines. I believe that business can benefit from best practices.
