Research and development in speech, video and image processing, and related signal processing fields. I am particularly interested in bio-inspired models of perception, and have numerous publications on speech signal analysis and representation, applied speech technology, speech synthesis and prosody.
I hold 6 US patents, and have 12 US and 6 foreign patent applications pending. I have managed a software product line, leading it to dominate its market niche. Currently I am developing speech user interface technology for control of medical devices.
