Currently work at Boeing Research & Technology as an M&P Engineer. Primary job functions include being key engineer and specification custodian for materials, processes, and testing specifications and their related documents. as well as heavy focus on research and development of next-generation materials for lightning strike protection on composite structure and adhesive bonding for both aluminum, composite and metal to composite structures.
Typical tasks includes maintaining standards, qualifying new materials, on-site facility audits for both material production, manufacturing and part builds, maintaining detailed project schedules and budgets, analyzing test data and development of next-generation materials and processes as project lead. Other tasks include resolving engineering problems with supply line, and assisting in troubleshooting with both airline customers and specific airplane part programs.
Graduated from University of Washington College of Engineering with Bachelor's of Science in Materials Science & Engineering in 2005.
Currently pursuing a Master's of Science in Materials Science & Engineering at University of Washington, with expected Graduation date of 2011, and research in multi-functionality of composite adhesives.
Held a college internship at Isotron Corporation in Seattle, WA from 2004 to 2005 and subsequently has had professional industry experience at Isotron and The Boeing Company since.
Involved in engineering/technology-related professional societies. SAMPE Seattle Local Chapter board member (Secretary/Webmaster - currently Vice-Chair) from 2004 - present, and representative member of Puget Sound Engineering Council, as well as assistance with community involvement and student outreach for Seattle chapter of ASM International.
