In the late 90’s I graduated from a music technology degree and in a bid to avoid any more low paid session gigs plunged head first into the world of web development.
Over the next few years I worked on a whole heap of interactive projects, from online video work for Nescafé to database driven workflow systems at Oxford University Press. During this time I worked agency side, freelance and finally ended up as a partner in a small web agency.
In 2001 I took the opportunity to join the growing interactive team at Banner, and during my 6 years there worked on mainly server side and database driven projects. These have included bespoke content management systems for HP, and a pile of websites for anyone from innovative start-ups (Quova) to established players such as Novell, IBM and Cisco.
A large part of my work at Banner included building the ‘engines’ for web based applications that do anything from configure printer options (Lexmark) to asses your networking or CRM needs (Cisco, Siebel). If anyone believed the “Web 2.0” hype, I’d mention it here
In addition to development work, I've also been able to flex my Final Cut Pro skills on digital video projects for clients including Y&R, Autodesk and Ubuntu.
In November 2007 I decided to expand my client experience beyond the technology sector and moved to Altogether Digital - the digital 'wing' of the Engine Group.
