I am an experienced Change and Quality Management professional with a track record in managing large Change and Business Excellence programs. I currently head the Business Excellence program at Infosys Technologies Limited (Infosys). The program has CEO and Board level sponsorship. As part of this massive change management program my team has identified and driven org-wide beneficial change in management practices and business results.
Prior to Infosys, I was Principal Consultant and Business Leader with Qimpro Consultants, Mumbai. At Qimpro I provided quality and change consulting services (over 700 mandays) to a variety of companies – some of them winning national and international awards. I also co-developed the International Quality Maturity Model (IQMM). As an experienced trainer I have trained over 1000 industry professional in quality concepts including Business Excellence and Strategic Six Sigma.
I am a certified Manager of Quality/OE (ASQ), Certified Quality Engineer, and Six Sigma Black Belt. I have also been a trainer for examiners of the IMC Ramakrishna Bajaj National Quality Award and served as a lead examiner and steering committee member of the award.
I have played a leadership role with the India Chapter for American Society for Quality (ASQ).

As Principal - Quality Programs I head Infosys's Business Excellence program globally. This includes driving beneficial change across business units and enabling functions, nurturing a global team of senior examiners, and leading over 25 assessments annually.

As Program Manager, I manage the deployment of Infosys's Business Excellence program. The program is based on the MBNQA framework for performance excellence. My work involves developing customized criteria and an assessment process for all units; conceptualizing and managing the assessment process; and deploying mechanisms for best practice sharing across units.
Some examples of org-wide and unit level improvements include:
- Margin improvement of over 50% and in a business unit
- Org-wide risk management process leading to key business risk mitigation
- Structured leadership development process to develop leadership pipeline
- Strategic planning at horizontal business units for better alignment with verticals.
The Baldrige program I manage won an Excellence Award across Infosys in 2007 and the best Quality program in 2008.
My additional responsibilities include process management and improvement for Corporate Marketing and conducting Six Sigma training and projects. I also managed the customer satisfaction measurement program for Infosys in 2007.
I have served on teams to judge the annual Excellence Awards, develop quality strategy in 2008 and 2009, redesign quality roles; develop a pioneering quality certification; develop a reward and recognition program; and develop an integrated communication mechanism for quality.

As a COO, BestPrax Club and Business Leader, Qimpro, my responsibilities included managing the BestPrax Club, business development, consulting for key clients, developing and enhancing strategic alliances, product development, and human resource development.
As a Principal Consultant, I was a facilitator, change agent, and trainer for:
o Strategic Six Sigma training and implementation
o International Quality Maturity Model (IQMM) assessment and implementation. This includes longer-term change management and transformation assignments including guidance in implementation of best practices
o Assessment and implementation of business excellence models such as the IMC Ramkrishna Bajaj National Quality Award (RBNQA) and the Deming Prize requirements. The IMC RBNQA is based on the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award of the USA.
o Education and training on quality management - basic, advanced, and creativity tools.
At Qimpro, I reported to CEO and MD, Mr. Suresh Lulla, renowned quality guru.
