After writing a senior honors thesis on Adrienne Rich's poetry, I graduated from Brown University in May 2008 and moved to Brooklyn, New York.
I am deeply interested in the ways people use media and technology to make connections and in community (online and off) more generally.

At VOP I learned about coalition building and multi-issue organizing across the diverse state of Virginia. I gathered signatures on a petition to raise the minimum wage at events, assisted organizers in setting the foundation for chapters, and attended meetings and conferences on a variety of social justice issues across the state. I also researched pay day loans and living wage rates, wrote book reviews, edited newsletter and website articles, and offered general administrative assistance to the central office in Charlottesville, VA.
