Anna Post is the great-great-granddaughter of Emily Post and the author of Emily Post’s Wedding Parties (Collins, October 2007) and Do I Have to Wear White? Emily Post Answers America's Top Wedding Questions (Collins, 2009). Anna is currently working on three book projects, the first due in Spring 2010.
Anna speaks at bridal shows and events, providing wedding etiquette advice and tips. She is an etiquette expert for Brides.com and is a columnist for Inside Weddings magazine.
Anna is also a graduate of The Emily Post Institute’s Business Etiquette Train-the-Trainer program and conducts business etiquette seminars across the country, working with clients such as Emerson, Borel Private Bank & Trust Company, MeadWestVaco, The National Institutes of Health, The Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University, and Dartmouth College.
Anna’s popularity with media outlets seeking advice on modern etiquette dilemmas is on the rise. Her interviews include USA Today, The New York Times, the Associated Press, The Wall Street Journal, The Los Angeles Times, The Chicago Tribune, The Boston Globe, Time, O at Home, Modern Bride, Real Simple, and Forbes.com. Anna has also appeared on NPR, The Today Show, and The Early Show.
In addition to being a regular source of etiquette advice in print and on radio and television, Anna blogs about modern etiquette topics on her blog, What Would Emily Post Do? found at annapost.typepad.com. She also guest blogs on the Huffington Post on current topics that relate to etiquette in the 21st century.
Anna previously worked for the Motion Picture Association of America and in the Washington, D.C., office of Senator Patrick Leahy. Raised in Charlotte, Vermont, Anna is a graduate of Phillips Andover Academy and the University of Vermont. She holds a degree in political science and currently lives in Burlington, Vermont, where she works at The Emily Post Institute.
