Ankur Jain's Summary

I am passionate about all things related to startups. I was lucky to be part of four companies which got acquired - Kosmix (by Walmart), Plaxo (by Comcast), Hughes Software Systems (by Flextronics) and Center for Wireless Communication (I2R). I have seen the full life cycle of a startup - from very early stages (pre-revenue) to product success to acquisition!

I have a simple mission - build products that delight the consumers and make profit for the company! I have built many award winning internet products which are currently being used by millions of users all over the world. Few examples of the products that I developed are: www.kosmix.com, www.tweetbeat.com, ecorner.stanford.edu, www.khelocricket.in, www.hotontwttr.com and www.indianumbers.com.

I have worked in five countries, three continents and with team members from 25 different countries. I can say 'hello' in 10 different languages! My favorite experience was in the jungles of Cambodia where I spent over a month to connect remote villages to the information highway. My work was covered by United Nations, Wall Street Journal, NY Times, BBC etc.
