I work with students in-person or by phone, fax or email to maximize the impact of their college applications by brainstorming essay topics, editing and revising. I also assist them to adapt their own essays for multiple use in the application process.
I make detailed suggestions for content, style, structure, vocabulary and spelling, while paying close attention to the individual student's writing style, also known as their "writer's voice." I review, comment and correct revisions until we achieve an optimal essay that is ready for submission.
I work with many prospective law students on their personal statements. There is no other component of your application that you can control as much as your law school personal statement. An excellent personal statement will separate you from the multitude of candidates with similar academic qualifications. A law school personal statement should introduce the attributes and accomplishments that make you stand out as an individual, in a clear, articulate and well written way.
