Director of News Programming KNX 1070 Newsradio KFWB News Talk 980
Greater Los Angeles Area
I’ve been in broadcasting for over 30 years. Nearly all of my career has been spent in news or news-talk radio. I started in radio in the 70’s as a traffic reporter in San Jose. Over the years I’ve been an editor, news reporter and anchor. I’ve worked in some great cities; San Jose, Seattle, Kansas City, Seattle again and since 1995, Los Angeles.
I had the opportunity to broadcast from all over the world and cover some exceptional events, from the 1981 assassination of Anwar Sadat in Egpyt, to the economic emergence of China and the rebirth of democracy in the former Soviet Union.
I’ve spent most of the last two decades in broadcast management and have programmed radio stations in Seattle, Kansas City and Los Angeles. Through the radio station stations, I’ve worked with a number of major college and professional sports franchises, including the Los Angeles Dodgers, the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, the Kansas City Royals, the Seattle Mariners, the Seattle Seahawks, the Seattle Sonics, the Oakland A's, University of Kansas and the University of Washington.
My stations in Los Angeles and Seattle have been recognized with numerous broadcast industry awards, including RTNA Golden Mikes, RTNDA Edward R. Murrow Awards and regional Emmys.
