As the youngest founding member of a venture capital firm in the United States, Andy established Funk Ventures in 2000 and has since been actively involved in the funding, development and sale of almost 20 companies. The firm’s investments have typified the double bottom line approach to Funk Ventures’ investment goals: accomplishing market rate returns while simultaneously producing positive social and environmental impact.

Most recently, Andy authored the chapter "Investing Today for a Better Tomorrow" in the book “VC: Best Practices”. A frequent panelist and presenter, he has spoken before various industry forums and conferences. Andy resides in Santa Monica with his wife Kristi, a renowned breast cancer surgeon.
