January 2000 — September 2002 (2 years 9 months)
I created Salty Dog Events while contracting for an international entertainment/games manufacturer. Salty Dog serviced the greater Auckland area of over 2 million residents in providing the finest in organized play events. We supported all major platforms in public, in-store retail, and invite-only venues. Worked closely with local hobby storeowners and trans-Tasman distributors to create a fully sustainable gaming community which has continued to flourish since my departure from New Zealand in late 2002. James White, and Salty Dog co-founder, Brenton Cumberpatch, carried the torch until Brenton became a father in 2004. James "Hemi" White is the sole proprietor of the now-named, Game Player, LLP.
