Initially worked for Comstar.net, Inc. Major project was vmail, a web-based system for e-mail administration. vmail delegates common administrative functions, such as user creation and deletion, to trusted users defined within each domain, reducing the workload for the support team. Developed firewall rules for production servers, including a dynamic anti-spam firewall. Performed various system administration tasks, provided technical support through e-mail and over the phone, and worked on several other minor projects. Comstar.Net was acquired by Globix in September 2000. Globix filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in March 2002. My position was eliminated at the end of May 2002.
