Leadership Development Rotation - Principal Financial Group
Des Moines, Iowa Area
By day, I'm part of a "Leadership Development Rotation Program" at a Fortune 250 financial services company. I've led marketing strategies to launch new technologies, including an iGoogle gadget and a text messaging service. I also facilitate trainings that teach employees and entrepreneurs how to use social media to be productive.
By night, I run a marketing and consulting company that specializes in online product launches and web design for small businesses. When I'm not playing at work, you can find me wrestling with his puppy, traveling the globe with my girlfriend, or drinking cheap wine with friends.
You can learn more about me at www.AndyDrish.com and www.LaunchProsHQ.com
Feel free to contact me if you're interested in:
- Marketing
- Building passive revenue streams
- Social media
- Running membership websites
- Designing and implementing blogs
Or if you're just looking to meet someone new, shoot me an email. Andy.drish@gmail.com

Development opportunities we'll experience include:
* Collaborating with business unit leaders in developing products
* Preparing investment portfolio reports and/or financial statements
* Helping develop marketing materials to reach clients
* Researching investment performance

May 2007 — August 2007 (4 months)
As a summer intern, I spent a lot of my time coordinating different events that helped build relationships between The Principal and different financial advisors.
The highlight of my internship was being selected to give a presentation to senior executives as to why they should begin utilizing social networking sites as a means to recruit college students.

Being a Student Ambassador was great! I'd sit on student panels, give campus tours, host prospective students, and, most importantly, help kids make one of the most important decisions of their lives... Where to go to college.

I believe that Gen Y's definition of 'living the dream' will be having the ability to work from anywhere in the world. I'm especially interesting in learning about online marketing, consumer behavior, and using new technology to build businesses.
