Andy Benkert’s Summary

I started my professional career working on political campaigns in a variety of capacities - from field work to fundraising to production manager for a political consulting firm. I served as community relations coordinator for Congressman Norm Mineta. After a few short term jobs in the non-profit sector I began working at a flyfishing store where I soon was promoted to assistant manager then store manager. Being a passionate flyfisher, I soon gained the knowledge and skills necessary to teach flycasting and on-the-water flyfishing classes, which I continue to do.

I switched gears in early 2006 and sought employment in the field of marketing, as many of the skills I developed in political campaigns are easily transferable. With the growing importance of web presence and search in the business world, the marketing firm I work for has expanded its' services to include search engine optimization and asked me if that would be something I would be interested in learning. I enjoy learning and technology, and have taken on the challenge of learning SEO.

My goal is to provide the best possible service to our clients in the capacities I have been hired to perform - marketing research, tradeshow logistical support, and search engine optimization.
