The local contact simply ensures that there is a local face for the NO2ID group. The Chippenham area is currently sparsely populated with active supporters, so we tend to back up the nearby Swindon group's activities. However, we did get the District Council to approve a motion preventing the use of the National Identity Register as a mechanism for accessing local services.

As the owner/operator I look after all aspects of the company, from sales and strategy, tax, accounts and other red tape through to answering the phones. I also, sometimes it would seem almost as a sideline, ensure that my customers receive a first class service and that their IT infrastructures keeps humming away supporting their businesses. This involves keeping a daily close eye on the logs and notification emails and making sure that any service alerts from my companies monitoring system are handled swiftly and without any actual user affecting incident.

The Motorcycle Action Group is a political pressure group for bikers in the UK. It tries to prevent mindless negative regulation and promote positive moves to promote biking as a pleasurable and green way of getting about the place.
As usual in groups of this kind you don't just get one position, you keep getting them till you learn to duck at the right moment.
I was elected Comms Officer for the Western Region and as such gained a place on the regional committee over a decade ago now; in fact I'm not quite sure when it was. This position is to try and promote electronic communications within the region. With it comes the stewardship of the regional mailing lists.
I was elected chairman of the Western Region at the 2007 AGM. All I have to do for this role is stop the rest of the committee from killing each other 6 times a year ;)
For the national organisation I look after the creation of local and regional web sites and email aliases as well as the national mailing lists.
