Spikefin started in my bedroom, moved from there to the Creative HQ Business Incubator, and is now out in our own offices with a great view of Wellington Harbour. We make great software for Food & Hospitality chains; POS, Enterprise Management and websites that keep things simple by being tailored to fit your business.

Basically my role here was to look after anything "computer related" that was not directly "architecture related". I was doing some graphic design, preparing awards entries, putting proposals and profiles together, designing, creating and maintaining the website, updating quality management systems and looking after the office servers and network.

This really was a character building job for me. During this time I got my first computer. It came with a dot-matrix printer and later I got MS Publisher 1.0 and used it right away to make Happy Easter cards for everyone on my paper run. The next day I had to call my Dad at 5:30AM to help me carry all the chocolate (yes, there were people all down the street waiting for me). No kidding. That day I learned the value of sincere and timely marketing, and how great technology can be.
