Andrew Helms brings a diversity of experience in commercial publishing, economic development and print media, as well as experience in emerging social media and Web 2.0.
Andrew earned a BA degree in International Affairs from Westmont College and an MA in Arab Studies from Georgetown University. During his career, Andrew has worked in publishing, international development and international journalism and focused on a wide diversity of areas including international politics, state-society relations, communications, development, public relations, marketing and education.
Andrew also offers invaluable regional knowledge, having lived in the Middle East and Eastern Europe. Since joining his current firm as a project assistant in August 2008, he has been involved with a number of international and domestic projects involving research, legislative and regulatory monitoring, and public relations.
Andrew is proficient in both Modern Standard Arabic and the Egyptian dialect and is currently on a year-long post-graduate fellowship in advanced Arabic language study in Cairo, Egypt.
