I love computers. I also hate computers - especially when they can't read each other's data, store information in multiple, inconstent places, keep reinventing the wheel (badly), and most of all when they forget that they are the servants and we are their masters.
So my professional motto is this: There Must Be a Better Way. And I'm going to find it, whether it's by merging separate systems that work better as one, splitting apart systems that should stay at arm's length, or by finding a simple solution that Just Works and doesn't try to save the world in its spare time.
