Founder and Director at escherman
London, United Kingdom
I've spent 24 years in PR, marketing communications and journalism - always aiming to be at the forefront of PR innovation.
According to journalist Jack Schofield at The Guardian, I was the second PR person in the UK to begin sending press releases via e-mail in 1991 (hat tip to then Apple UK PR Manager Frank O'Mahoney who beat me by a few weeks).
In 1995, I helped organise Compuserve's historic first ever worldwide online multimedia interview with Mick Jagger of the Rolling Stones (I was also Mick's computer "keyboard player" on the night).
Technology and business journalist Sally Whittle has described me as the "de facto godfather of PR blogging" in the UK (http://escherman.wordpress.com).
My latest venture - escherman - thus aims to combine powerful digital marketing techniques such SEO, multi-variate testing and social media with traditional content-led PR skills to provide highly effective and measurable benefits to clients.
