Freelance Web and Interaction Designer
Verona Area, Italy
I started my career as web designer and developer in 2000, working for a local web agency using a wide array of technologies such as IIS, ASP, ASP.Net, SQL Server and then we moved to Linux, using Apache web server and Python as primary language for the web sites back-end.
In 2002 I started to use CSS to cleanly separate page structure from presentation, using Netscape 4, Mozilla and IE 6 as browser platforms. It was hard, but in the process I learned how to tame and fix most of the browsers CSS shortcomings while authoring HTML pages.
In 2005 I started to broaden my knowledge about software usability, typography and graphic design.
In 2006 I started freelancing as design/usability consultant for Assembla.com, doing a complete redesign of the site and enhancing the service UI.
In 2007 I joined Stacktrace.it team and designed the web site, logo and promotional banners.
I'm currently offering my design services to various italian and international clients. I mostly work from home using e-mail, IM and Skype for communication.
