I like connecting people to the right solution, whether it’s computers, social networking, or a non-tech professional.
Computers can be great tools. Wordpress is fun, Excel has interesting hidden gems, backup & internet security is something everyone should keep updated.
My pre-tech background is in sales, both wholesale and retail. My family background and connections include construction, remodeling, and design. I appreciate hard work and am not afraid to get dirty! I like sharing the benefits of social networking and helping business owners get what they need.

Lighting company - we developed an amazing collections of lampshades printed with custom artwork designed by various Seattle area artists.
Our most popular lamp was the Baseball lamp which featured a baseball scene on the shade and the base included a wooden home plate base with 3 Rawlings baseballs. Other popular shades included Cats, William Morris style Trees, Roadster, Circus, etc.
After researching many printers and manufacturing specialists the shades were printed on high quality cotton paper. The manufacturing process was a bit complicated because of the nature of allowing light to show through in certain areas of the artists design.
The shades were matched up with lamp bases, we manufactured and distributed our lamps in the United States for about 10 years. We attended trade shows in New York, Atlanta, Los Angeles, and Dallas. Our lamps were sold in high end children's stores, catalogs, lighting, and specialty shops.
An interesting business overall in terms of coordinating art, technical requirements of lampshade manufacturing, the archival quality of paper, and the quality of the entire assembly process.
