It was assembled in 2003 to give young performers public exposure apart from their school-based concert band experience. The ensemble has performed before several community organizations including retirement homes and local libraries. Recently, the group was featured at the Skidmore Flute Festival in Saratoga Springs.
  
  As associate director, my primary responsibilities have included leading rehearsals, conducting the ensemble in concert and marketing & program development.
