Anders Nielsen’s Summary

Active in the use of lean methods to engage the workforce and improve operations since 1985 - specializing in value stream mapping, 5S, setup reduction, layout for flow, and visual control. Enthusiastic trainer who gets people excited and eager to take control of the improvement of their workplace.

Download my 5S booklet and value stream mapping book for free from my website.

I also use computer simulation (Simul8) to analyze complex flows in job shops and other non-linear processes, and to suggest and demonstrate breakthrough improvement options.

I have consulted in a wide variety of industries, including automotive OEM, truck assembly, automotive parts, food and confectionery, healthcare, nuclear, pre-fab buildings, consumer goods, industrial goods, public sector, metals, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, warehousing and logistics.

Typical results from kaizen events: 80% reduction is defects, 30% reduction in space requireents, 60% reduction in lead-time. Setup reduction from 8hrs to 5 minutes using kaizen and automation.

I have managed installation, after-sales service, engineering, and quality departments.

My goal is to learn as much from my clients as they learn from me.
