I'm unusually passionate about great software, and I love the mix of theory and application which is often important in Computer Science problems. I possess a great deal of optimism, ambition, humor and enthusiasm, and I thrive when working on challenging tasks alongside like-minded colleagues. I believe in the synergy enabled by open standards and open source (but not necessarily free) software.
I recently obtained a Master of Computer Science at the world-renowned National University of Singapore. My studies were focused on advanced algorithms, information retrieval, distributed systems and various other advanced computer science topics.
I like to believe I have the ability to see different perspectives clearly, from high-level architecture and system design, to low-level optimizations in algorithms and data structures. My primary interests include large-scale distributed systems, information retrieval, algorithms, and functional programming.
