I’m currently co-running an audio production company, Voxpop Africa Media in Cape town, for on air and online environment, specialising on audio solutions, features, podcasts and documentaries. Our most recent documentary ‘Beyond Xenophobia’ was produced for SAfm.
I host events, for the NGO, Private and Governmental sectors. Most recently I hosted the Africa Day Gala dinner for AFRISA ( Alliance for Refugees in South Africa).
I do voice work for adverts, and content based productions independently and through an agency.
I obtained my degree in BA Communication Science from the University of the Free State, where I started my work in radio.
I have been working In the radio industry for the past 6 years, have worked on Talk radio(567 Cape Talk) as an on-air trainee, also worked at Bush radio as a talk show host for their flagship show, Sakhisizwe, building the nation. A discussion-based show in English and Xhosa, highlighting current affairs, with guests from non-governmental and community based organisations; local, provincial and national government; political parties and activists. The show focused on Environment, Human rights, Gender, Labour, Arts and Culture issues.
I have also worked in the Film production industry, with Iliso films and multimedia productions which aimed to promote and advance indigenous knowledge systems and African heritage.
Currently I am running a project on Identity, Inkokhelo.com, this combines photography and design for portraits.
